From the last 75 years and even more, Macy’s has presented a great show for the people in the main arcades of the city of New York. There are a lot of events in this Thanksgiving Day parade which have participation from professionals as well as the common people. Since the 1920’s this parade has been entertaining people with their colors and flavors of Thanksgiving. There have been various instances where this parade was stopped due to various reasons, for example during the Second World War. This was then resumed in 1945. Also in 1971 due to bad weather conditions, this parade was put on hold owing to the very bad situation of winds. .

Venue of the Thanksgiving Day parade is the Manhattan Island, which is one of the five boroughs of the city of New York. People are dressed as clowns, sheiks, cowboys and knights. Everyone has their share of fun in this parade. Balloons are also a part of the parade which imparts a lot of color to the whole celebration. Millions of people are witness to these parades. Even professionals from Broadway are a part of this show through their amazing and stupendous performances which cast their spell on everyone who is a part and party of this celebration of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.
